Peter Handkes "Immer noch Sturm" oder zur Hintergehbarkeit der Festschreibung // Peter Handke’s "Storm Still" or on the Failure of Identity Formation

Sažetak
Ausgehend von A. Koschorkes Begriff des Narrativs wird gezeigt, inwiefern Handkes Immer noch Sturm ein Narrativ konstruiert und damit an die gesellschaftliche Wirklichkeit anknüpft. Dies funktioniert allerdings nur, wenn diejenigen Diskurselemente des Textes unbeachtet bleiben, die einer Bildung von Narrativen entgegenwirken. Hierzu gehören Verfahren, die eine zunächst postulierte Homogenität unterlaufen. Der Text kann so vordergründig als ein Versuch verstanden werden, auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen homogene Identitätsentwürfe zu konstruieren; diese werden jedoch gleichzeitig dekonstruiert. Vor dem Hintergrund kulturwissenschaftlicher Positionen liest sich der Text wie eine Reflexion auf Konzepte der Narrativität und Konstruktion kultureller und historischer Überlieferung.
Using Albrecht Albrecht Koschorke’s concept of narrative as a basis, this paper shows how Peter Handke’sImmer noch Sturm constructs a narrative and through it forges a link with social reality. However, this only works if those discourse elements of the text which work against the formation of narratives remain unnoticed. This includes, to a particular extent, processes which frustrate the initially-postulated homogeneity. Handke’s text can in fact be understood as an attempt to construct homogeneous identity models – models which he simultaneously deconstructs. Against the background of contemporary cultural studies positions, Immernoch Sturm reads like a reflection on such concepts as narrativity and the construction of cultural and historical tradition.
