NEW WASTE MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS

Sažetak
The paper provides an expert review and appraisal of the new Waste Management Regulations passed pursuant to the provision in Art. 86, par. 4 of the Sustainable Waste Management Act (N.N. no. 94/13). The Regulations were first published in Narodne novine, no. 23/14, and came into effect 21 February 2014. In addition, pursuant to the Waste Management Act, the paper calls attention to the part in the Regulations requiring from individual waste management enterprises to keep detailed records of their business activities and to submit them on a regular basis to the relevant state administration bodies of the Republic of Croatia.
Upon the coming into effect of the new Regulations, the former Waste Management Regulations (published in N.N. no. 23/07 and 111/07) and the Regulations Governing Legal and Individual Entities acting as intermediaries in recycling and/or waste management, and entities with business in export of non-hazardous waste (N.N. no. 51/06) are no longer in effect.
