UPON THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE POETICAL AVANT-GARDE

Sažetak

Croatian poetry of the 20th century is the topic of this paper. It is being discussed as a dinamic evolutionary process. Poetical aspects of the avant-garde period and its formative impulses are seen as the base for a deeper understanding of more recent contemporary poetry. Examples quoted illustrate delimitating points of the new poetical field, which are placed at the very limits of neighboring codes. The textual analysis is being carried out primarily from the point of view of relations among various semantic codes, demonstrating the multimedial poetical character of the discussed period.
