Sažetak

Erazmo Barčić is one of the forgotten political personalities of Rijeka. He played a very important role in the emancipation of the Croatian (and Slavic) national feeling in Rijeka. His text »Glas rodoljuba« (The Voice of the Patriot), written in Italian, is widely known. This article describes his life and activities, and it is at the same time an intorduction to the reading of his text »Glas rodoljuba« (for the first time the entire text in the Croatian language).
