Sažetak

This partical study of the student population in Split carried out recently shows that certain differences do exist from Vukušć’s studies but they are neither great nor essential. The position of the accent in similar to that of Vukušić’s subjects. It can be stated that no proclisis is practised (or very rarely). The unstressed length has almost or completely disappeared even when it would be indispensable from the phonologic and semantic point of view. A number of exercises with students to pronounce the gentive plural, even with the starting neo-štokavian ikavian speakers have failed to give any considerable results.
