CARING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT, ECONOMIC GROWTH AND HAZARDOUS TECHNOLOGIES

Sažetak
The article is based on the interpretation of the poll of Slovensko javno mnijenje (SJM) – Slowenian Public Opinion 2000/2 and 1999/2, relating to the topic of environment. Because of the carried out comparison, the data from SJM 1993/2 and SJM 1997/1 have also been taken into account here and there. The sensitivity to the correlation of environmental protection and economic growth has been presented, as well as the relation toward environmental autonomy and legal regulation of companies and individuals, harmonisation with different economic instruments for environmental protection and the comprehension of the hazardous quality of biotechnology and nuclear technology. Differences in relation to the following variables have been presented together with all the opinions expressed: sex, age, education and religious commitment of respondents.
