CROATIAN NATURAL STONE ON THE MARKET AND ITS EVALUATION WITHIN EUROPEAN STANDARDS

Sažetak
The data on Croatian natural stones which are present on the market in the last fifty years are elaborated in this paper. The Republic of Croatia is an associate member of the CEN. A list of Croatian natural stone was submitted for the Annex of the European standard prEN 12440 Denomination of natural stone. A short description of petrographic composition of natural stone, is given, as well as their classification with an emphasis on sedimentary rocks.
