MATHEMATICAL MODELLING OF THE LOGISTIC OPERATORS’ DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL

Sažetak
The importance of logistic operators in the optimization of the flows of goods, information and money has been confirmed and identified by distancing the place of production and consumption, i.e. by discovering logistics as a group of defining business activities functioning as efficient manufacturing and trading companies. Namely, this scientific research quantifies the logistic operators’ development potential in the Republic Croatia and in other transition countries as compared to the characteristics of the current world’s main logistic operators. In order to quantify and test the growth of the logistic operators’ development potential properly, we have used the growth matrix which considers the structural relations of development elements in a specific way. This specific quality is reflected in the fact that these development elements are interdependant and that monitoring their importance within the development potential should be observed simultaneously through direct and indirect growth rates.
