Sažetak

The flora od mushrooms was investigated in the region of Zagreb (especially in Maksimir Park and on Mt. Medvednica).
Altogether 208 species were listed. 151 were found in Maksimir and 161 on Medvednica, 117 being common to both localities.
About 60 species are listed for the investigated region for the first time.
Trametes pachyodon, Leucopaxillus amarus and L. paradoxus being rare, aaccording to the data in literature, they are described in detail.
In the investigated region leafy woods (oak, chestnut, beech) are predominant, with the mushroom flora characteristic of such woods.
A much smaller area is covered with mixed woods where fir is associated with beech; other conifers are planted in groups or singly on Mt. Medvednica and in various parks. There species of mushrooms typical of coniferous woods were found.
According to the data in literature, Suillus piperatus, Tylopilus fel- leus, Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca and Tricholoma albobrunneum occur only in coniferous woods. However, in the region investigated the first two species were found only in leafy woods (a few specimens of each), Hygrophorpsis aurantiaca (also in small numbers) both in leafy and in coniferous woods, while Tricholoma albobrunneum was frequent predominantly in leafy woods.
About half of the species listed are edible. A number of them, being frequent enough and having easily recognisable caracteristics, could be used extensively for food.
The species stated are listed in the systematic part of the original Croatian text (see page 82—97). The system of Moser (1955) is used for the Agaricaceae and that of Pilat (1936/42) for the Polyporaceae. For the majority of the species the most common synonyms are added. The list also contains the names of sites where the species were found (see fig.) and different remarks about the habitat. The roman numerals refer to the month when the fruit-bodies were found. Edible species are marked by an asterisk (asterisk in brackets signifies species which are edible only with special precautions), and poisonous ones by a cross. In some species nomenclatural and taxonomical changes are discussed.
