Degree of Spacious, Professional and Social Closeness of Enterprise in Community

Sažetak

This work is just a part of a greater study dealing with some forms of spacious and professional closeness of enterprises in the community, the work itself being the result of the long-lasting research on some instances of closeness of enterprises in the community.
Since just two of the enterprises in the community have been comprised by the research, the work itself has mostly monographic character, having no pretension to a kind of wider generalization. Temporal dimension comprises the last ten years, not taking into consideration the historical preface dealing with the beginnings, of the industrialization at that area when, the collision between the elements of the industrial society in progress and the elements of the autochthonous traditional (agricultural) society in the process of dying, started. In the analysis of the various forms of closeness in the enterprises three groups of interpretable variables seem to be dominating: situational, institutional and social and cultural variables.
Closeness has been defined as a historical phenomenon of reproducing the social groups and strata exclusively from within. Closeness and imobility, on one hand, have been connected with the traditional (agricultural) society while openness and mobility have been treated as a characteristic of the industrial society, on the other hand. The principal discrepancies between the traditional and the functional systems and between the forms of their exhibiting themselves are of the main importance for the understanding of the whole of this work.
The results of the research have been presented according to the following scheme: a) definition of closeness of the enterprise as a social group b) dimensions of closeness: spacious, professional and social dimensions c) a field where manifestations of closeness appear, like the reception at the enterprise, the way of reception, the way of arrangement at the enterprise, the criteria for going higher in the social scale as well as in the scale of the distribution of work, priorities in the case of schooling.
These fields have been worked out on the basis of opinions and attitudes got by the survey research.
An enterprise, as a social group, in closing and separating itself from the more superior elements of the new socio-cultural system has been building the whole mechanism of protection; it has been building the autonomous group regulations, cohesion, power, status structures, coalitions of interest slightly modified by elements of industrialization, modification itself being an adaption of new institutional forms to traditional elements.
The principal dimensions of closeness of an enterprise are: spacious, professional and social closeness characterized by their strong mutual relation. Spacious closeness becomes evident in the tendency to employ those who come from the area close to the enterprise apart from the structure required by the technological system.
Professional closeness becomes evident in the tendency to reproduce socio-professional groups out of the groups themselves as well as it becomes evident in the [familial] inheritance of the parents’ status.
