Sažetak This paper presents the study and modelling of the complex impact of elastic abrasive cutting conditions: the force compressing the cut-off wheel to the workpiece, workpiece rotational frequency and cut-off wheel diameter on the forces and power of cutting when machining rotating steel workpieces. A generalized model for determining the specific cutting force has been created and on its basis empirical relationships for the tangential force and cutting power have been derived. The ratio between the tangential and normal forces has been analyzed as an evaluation parameter of the abrasive cutting process effectiveness.
