New Plant Species in the Flora of the Island of Mljet

Sažetak
The flora of the island of Mljet has not been investigated till now. The oldest data come from the end of the last century when Partsch (1826) noted 44 plant species in the flora of this island. Later investigations by Visiani (1842—1852, 1872—1881), Adamović (1887, 1901, 1911), Hirc (1903—1912, 1909), Keller (1915), Balen (1935), Anić (1942), Horvatić (1958), Rajevski (1969), Regula-Bevilaqua (1969, 1979), Trinajstić (1972, 1974, 1979) and Volarić-Mršić and N. Horvatić (1977) included 135 more plant species.
This paper covers 182 plant species unknown for this island area so far. Accordingly, we now know 361 plant species from the island of Mljet.
