The Flora of the Island of Lokrum, Bobara and Mrkan

Sažetak
A list and analysis of the flora of the islands of Lokrum, Bobara and Mrkan are presented in this work. The investigations were performed during 1978 and 1979 (S. Hećimovic 1981).
The list consists of 425 species of vascular plants and among them 229 species have now been recorded in this area for the first time. The relative wealth of the flora in the island of Lokrum is 545, Bobara 1133 and Mrkan 621 species per square kilometre.
The taxa are classified into 8 floral elements. The greatest number of taxa belong to the Mediterranean floral element (50 °/o).
Therephytes (42 %) and hemicryptophytes (25 %) are the most widely represented life-forms in the area investigated.
