Sažetak

The cases of attempted and commited suicides with organophosphorus compounds among the patients treated in the Departments of Neuropsychiatry and Internal Medicine of the General Hospital in Senta from 1 March 1968 till 28 February 1978 are analysed. The analysis included 87 patients, 50 men and 37 women, 15 of who died. Among insecticidal preparations organophosphorus compounds were found to be most often used for suicidal purposes. The rate and mode of such use of organophosphorus compounds, the consequences and the efficiency of the therapy are discussed.
