Sažetak
A special programme for searching organohalogen compounds from memorized GC-MS data has been applied to different kinds of environmental and biological samples. The programme is based on two characteristics of organohalogen compounds: negative mass defect and mass spectra clusters. The programme was shown to be useful for detecting and identifying traces of organochlorine pollutants even when these traces were overlapped with more abundant compounds because of insufficient separation on packed GC columns.
