Sažetak

New finds of several adventitious plants in ruderal and weed vegetation in the town of Split and its surroundings (Fig. 1, Mediterranean region of Croatia, UTM — XJ 11, XJ 12 and XJ 21) were recorded in 1990. These are: Artemisia verlotorum Lamotte, Bidens bipinnata L., Tagetes minuta L., Eleusine indica (L.) Gaertner, Paspalum dilatatum Poiret and P. paspalodes (Michx.) Scribner.
So far, the species Artemisia verlotorum has been recorded in the continental part of Croatia only, in the surroundings of Zagreb. The locality in Split is the first to have been recorded in the Mediterranean region of Croatia.
Eleusine indica is distributed both in the continental and the Mediterranean regions, and the species Paspalum dilatatum, P. Paspalodes, Bidens bipinnata and Tagetes minuta were recorded only in the Mediterranean (Submediterranean-Eumediterranean) region of Croatia, until now.
