TOTAL MERIT INDEX AND INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

Sažetak

The way of interpretation of results for breeding value estimation of bulls in Slovenia is presented, together with the method for estimation of total servitude merit index for difficult economic market production systems. For example: the situation where the prevailing income is from milk, or from meat, or from combined milk and meat production.
For the merit index and for 15 traits, which are incorporated in the index, are estimated the standard deviation of breeding values.
