Sažetak
This article is about planning and realization of the school project titled „Contemporary Class in the Primary School of Šećerana After Joining the EU“ during the academic year 2013/2014. Pupils from 1st to 8th grade of the district and five catchment area schools participated in the realization of this project. Through this project the teaching process is being improved and the new way of knowledge acquirement, based on experiential and research learning, is being supported, as well as the individual and team work and the integration of pupil's knowledge through the modern technology use. The project started earlier this year when teachers and pupils joined the project designing the activities, planning the realization and preparing the pupils. The project reached its peak during the
integrated week of School Day, in the beginning of April, with the Day of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, the Language Day, the Health Day, the Ecology Day and „A Whimsical Journey Across Croatia“, which was the centre theme of this year School Day. Multimedia classroom, equipped with interactive whiteboard and equipment for videoconferencing classes, enabled the connection and better collaboration between the district school and catchment area schools. The results of the project are increased motivation of pupils for future work and knowledge attainment via experiential and cooperative learning.
