Sažetak

Pruning of grapevines is not only a mandatory but an indispensable ampelotechnical practice which ensures the assuming and maintenance of trained forms, as well as a smooth implementation of all agrotechnical measures and an effective protection against diseases and pests in modern viticulture. During pruning, a certain number of reproductive buds are retained. This regulates the quantity and quality of yield, as well as due growth and maturation of shoots. Grapevines are pruned when they are dormant.
