Boron based fertilizers and boron fertilization

Sažetak

Fertilization with boron (B) represents an important technological intervention in the agriculture for most culture, especially grapes, olives, apples, sugar beets and strawberries. The main function of boron fertilization is to encourage flowering and polination, but also the synthesis of carbohydrates (sugars), which directly affects the quality of crops and fruits. Besides effect of boron use is the synergistic influence on calcium fertilization in vegetables (tomato, pepper, cucumber). On the market there are several types of boron fertilizers and with different boron source (Na-perborate, boric acid, boron-ethanolamine). Large choice of fertilizers and availability in the market are important to boron fertilization in agriculture.
