Sažetak

The world production of broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. italica) is constantly increasing as a result of increased interest for this highly nutritious food and evidencebased chemoprotective effect as well. In Croatia, a continuous supply of fresh broccoli to the processing industry and the market can be realized by selecting a suitable hybrid broccoli cultivars, optimal growing periods and production area.
