Sažetak

The archives of the Fonds HR-DAPA-194 of the State Archive in Pazin was accumulated during the activities of the Local People’s Committee of Pazin which was active from July 1947 to April 1952 and had its central office in Pazin. The Local People’s Committee of Pazin was the successor of the Town People’s Liberation Committee of Pazin (1945 – 1947). Following its discontinuation and that of the Local People’s Committee of Grdoselo (1945 – 1947) and later the Local People’s Committee of Lindar (1947 – 1950), the territories of their jurisdiction migrated under the jurisdiction of the newly established Local People’s Committee of Pazin. Upon the discontinuation of the creating office, its territory was moved under the jurisdiction of the newly established People’s Committee of the Town Municipality of Pazin (1952 – 1955). The Local People’s committee of Pazin was subject to the People’s Committee of the Pazin District (1947 – 1955). The basic activities and functions of a local people’s committee were related to the completion of the agricultural programme, care of the material and cultural development of the area, management of the utilities and services, care for the promotion of crafts and local industry and mediation in the regular exchange of goods between town and the country. A committee met the duties assigned to it in the assembly of its members or through its administrative and executive bodies. Having no sections, the president and the secretary managed directly single administrative areas, while the remaining members took care of the performance of duties and administration of activities and campaigns undertook in several branches of the state administration, supervised the functioning of institutions, companies, committee clerks and carried out other jobs arising from the jurisdiction of the committee. Until being taken over by the Archives in 1972 and 1973, the archives were left in the possession of the successors. An initial arrangement and recording was carried out in 1973 and the archival processing started in 2012. Since topic and contents-wise some parts of the archives fit in the affairs defined under the Decree on the plan of unique archival numbers for all administrative bodies on the territory of the people’s Republic of Croatia (OG 7/58) from 1958, the structure of the Fonds was delineated in line with the provisions of the Decree, with the exception of the series “General records by number” and “Confidential records”, which, along with the “Registry Aids” obtained their dedicated series, but their structure is, at a lower level, mostly compiled under affairs groups set out by the Decree. The structure of the Fonds is thus divided into nine basic units (series): Registry aids, General affairs, Internal affairs, Economy, Property and Legal Affairs, Social and Health Care, Education, General records by number and Confidential records. The archives were listed in a summary way and a summary inventory was produced in June 2012.
