Sažetak

During the planning of a railroad terminal (RRT), valid EU regulations should be considered, different aspects (market potential aspect, strategy and development aspect, transport and technology aspect, technical aspect, spatial aspect, financial and economic aspect, aspect of the manner of implementation and performance phasing), and most of all harmonization with spatial planning documents and strategic development of the region. Due to interdependence with regard to the spatial and transport aspect of railway infrastructure (connection and access to public rail infrastructure), road infrastructure (access and networks) and internal communication network within areas, accessibility and connection with systems of transport and logistics infrastructure, and considering the volumes of traffic, i.e. services, type of services and products and forecasts of potentials, the dimensions should be determined for a suitable and large enough infrastructure, which can be interconnected, i.e. which is available and adjustable. At the same time, guidelines for efficient management should be considered, as well as standards in the sense of binding parameters and other legal backgrounds connected with parameters for RRT planning.
