Solving waste problems by means of plasma based gasification technology

Sažetak
The paper starts by stating that Croatia has made important strategic decisions aimed at solving its waste-related problems. It is emphasized that right at this moment decisions have to be made about organizational aspects of solutions, which is dependant on the technology. The author asserts that the plasma based gasification technology is the most rational solution to the problem, particularly as it can be used for all kinds of waste, except for nuclear waste. This modern American technology has already been applied in Japan and can readily be applied in Croatia as well.
