Sažetak

Root rot of tomatoes is caused by several fungi from the genus Phytophthora. In Croatia, two species, P. nicotianae and P. cryptogera, have been detected. This article describes symptoms caused by P. nicotianae on tomato, gives a short description of its biology and provides information on control measures.
