Sažetak
Dear readers,
we proudly present the sixth volume of our journal Agroeconomia Croatica. It is a journal
published by Croatian Society of Agricultural Economists, which enables our members and colleagues
to release scientifi c and expert papers in agricultural economics and rural sociology area. ere is
also an electronic version of a printed journal available at the web pages of Croatian Society of
Agricultural Economists (hppt://www.haed.hr/aec/), but it can be also seen at the following portals:
Hrčak and AgEcon search.
Agroeconomia Croatica is the only journal from this specifi c research fi eld in Croatia and
one of the few of such in the region. Journal aims to promote scientifi c knowledge towards wider
scientifi c community and business as well as through integration of diff erent scientifi c branches.
is volume of Agroeconomia Croatica contains papers that discuss various topics. Four
of the eight papers are research results of Croatian authors, two articles are from Serbia and two
from Nigeria. Topics covered in this issue include: forensic accounting in agriculture, foreign trade
exchange of tuna, comparison of agri-food development in counties of northwestern Croatia,
economic effi ciency of agrotourist-wine farm on the wine road, Options and prospects on processing
less hazardous organic waste into a profi table product: case of compost production in the Republic of
Serbia, the importance of applying the comparative method in evaluation of agricultural equipment,
growth trend analysis of rice productivity in Nigeria and productivity growth of ECOWAS common
crops: a tale of two competing frontier methods of analysis. Considering the wide variety of the
topics, I hope you will fi nd something interesting and useful.
