Sažetak

This paper presents an overview of the development of robots and their influence on society and mankind. It describes the growing trend of directing their development towards so-called service robots, in other words, social robots which will be a basic part of our Daily lives, present in almost all types of human labor. This paper provides solutions for anthropomorphic robots as a final version in robotic design and adapting them to coexist with humans. The influence of digital technology is strongly emphasized, as well as the influence robots may have on future generations born in the era of robots and their way of thinking. Since the 21st century will be marked by robots and new technologies, it is crucial to prepare young generations for the upcoming age. The great interest children have in robots and their work as a form of physical realization and interpretation of solutions in computer technology needs to be used in direct learning methods. In that respect, two solutions are presented for the issue of robot Building kits; from the simplest ones, to the complex ones which may be used as learning tools in various subjects. Through the active process of building a robot, one acquires technical knowledge about mechanics, electronics and programming. It develops imagination and innovation. This paper describes a way of learning with robots where they appear as teacher assistants, which has already been realized in various ways in foreign language learning. Some countries like Australia, America, and Finland have already introduced such learning programs which include learning with and about robots. The contents this paper aim to familiarize the reader with this topic.
