Sažetak

During 2012, Dubrovnik Museums prepared their annual central
exhibition, this year St Blaise in History and the Present.
It lasted from May 16 to October 16 and was mounted in the
Rector’s Palace and in the Rupe Granary. The exhibition and
the accompanying programme were produced in order to
mark the 1040th anniversary of the veneration of the cult of St
Blaise in Dubrovnik and the 140th anniversary of the founding
of Dubrovnik Museums. The exhibition was conceived around
two main thematic units.
In the Rector’s Palace the development of the cult in old
Dubrovnik, i.e. in the Republic, was presented, with St Blaise
in state symbolism, architecture and art down to the present
day. The popular Feast of St Blaise was presented in the Rupe
Granary or Ethnographic Museum. We wished to familiarise
visitors, as attractively as possible, with all the hidden and
inaccessible depictions of the Patron Saint, which was done in
collaboration with Studio Beluga, a Dubrovnik firm specialising
in the making of creative and high quality visual communications
(3D visualisations, visual identities, graphic and
Web design, interactive design, touchscreen approaches and
marketing).
