Sažetak

The new permanent exhibition of the Krapina Neanderthal Museum has numerous effects and multimedia installations that take the visitors, awakening all their senses, on a path of cosmic, chemical and biological evolution. Active perception of the museum’s contents and making them closer to various ages and profiles of visitors is achieved by the organisation of additional educational programmes that are a very important component part of the activity of the Krapina Neanderthal Museum. In addition to the traditional educational programmes, new workshops, playrooms and special guided tours have been devised. The palaeo-anthropological workshop “Hominid skulls” that is permanently available in the educational programmes, in which participants can get to know about the basic features of human development, studying replicas of known fossil skulls, was at first meant only for university students and senior year school children. But when in the context of the 18th Museum Education Action of the CMA’s Section for Museum Education and Cultural Actions entitled “Museum Talkers” worksheets and a thematic guided tour through the permanent display were devised, the workshop acquired a continuation. The skulls were excellent models in the tactile workshop for members of the Association of Blind and
Partially Sighted Persons of the Krapinsko-Zagorska County, and the workshop was adjusted to younger ages as part of the Science Festival. Members of the Moji Dani [My Days] Association of Đurmanec made wooden jigsaw puzzles, and the aids that
were used in the workshops were supplemented with new measuring instruments. As well as participation in the workshop enabling independent research and inwardness with scientific knowledge about the development of man and the manner of reconstructing the past with the analysis of fossil skulls, the workshop was also important because while it was being created and developed, it brought the Museum into close contact with various associations and visitors of different profiles
