Sažetak Acute toxicity of some newly synthesized salts of nicotine, N-methylpyrrolidine and pyridine was studied in mice. Acute toxicity of nicotine compounds with gallic, gentisic, oxalic, p-aminosalicylic and p-nitrobenzoic acid proved higher than that of the pure nicotine, but it was mainly due to the toxicity of nicotine itself. N-methylpyrrolidine-gallate was found to produce certain protective effect in mice poisoned by nicotine-gentisinate.
