Considerable increase of the number and incidence of primary lung cancer in the mine-industrial area of Bor

Sažetak
According to statistical data provided by foreign countries a statistical survey in given of patients suffering from lung cancer in the mine-industrial area of the town of Bor in the last ten years. In comparison with the county of Zaječar to which Bor belongs, to the Republic of Serbia or to the Yugoslav- average in 10.000 inhabitants in the Bor area rapid increase has been recorded in the number and incidence of primary lung cancer. Characteristics of air pollution in Bor to which the above mentioned problem should be associated, have been presented. From the point of view of protection of workers attention has been drawn to the urgency of tackling the problem.
