Sažetak

As desired Pope John Paul II, year 1999, was especially devoted to God the Father in 1999. This discussion expounds the Christian faith in God the Father with a special emphasis on our conviction that comes from God. Though very rare, the name "father" to God has been adduced already in the Old Testament. The author specifically stops at three New Testament places that are significant for the name: Mk 14, 36; Gal 4: 6; Rome 8.15. He then analyses the patristic thought of the fatherhood of God and the origins of Christians by Origen, Gregory of Nisa, John of Zlatoust, Cyrillic of Alexandria, Augustine, and Petra Krizologa.
