Sažetak During X-ray examinations the patient, the physician and the assisting staff are exposed to the effects of radiation energy. It is therefore necessary to know the degree of exposure since all the protective measures depend on it. The aim of our measurement is it determine which quantity of radiation is effective in certain methods of fluoroscopy, to find out the least exposed working places and finally to evaluate the efficiency of different protective appliances. The author reports the results of the measurements of the radiation intensity (in mr/h) to which the physician and the assisting staff are exposed in lung and heart fluoroscopy, a) working with full wave and self rectified units, b) i.1 examining patients in upright or recumbent position, with and without the use of the protective Forssell chair and the protective cabin. The necessity for using protective gloves and apron is stressed. The protective cabin is especially useful when X-ray examinations have to be performed on a large scale.
