Sažetak

Coagulation studies on saline eluates of bands cut from a paper strip on which vipera ammodytes venom was electrophoresed at low temperature (2° C) show coagulant and anticoagulant principles. The coagulant substance migrates toward the anode, the anticoagulant fraction migrates on the opposite site towards the cathode. The clot-promoting eluate of the venom depends in his activity on the concentration of prothrombin, proaccelerin and the factor VII complex. An obvious enhancement in the activity of the coagulant substance could be demonstrated in the presence of platelets and platelets substituent cephalin. The anticoagulant fraction show antithromboplastin-like activity, which was inactivated by platelets and the Christmas-factor.
