Legalized City was established on June 30th, 2013. Legalized City is a project and a metaphor. Legalized City is a typical and specific phenomenon. Legalized City is the cultural, social, architectural, and urbanist truth. Legalized City is our everyday life. Legalized City is a matter of pride for some and a shame for others, but most of its population simply lives the Legalized City. Legalized City is entered consciously and without pressure. Nobody leaves the Legalized City. Legalized City confirms the ever-desired state of affairs, it is the final form of a consciously chosen way of life. Legalized City is our everyday image, clarified and outlined in all its truthfulness and ordinariness, with no regrets or didactic ambitions. Legalized City neither idealizes nor aestheticizes. Legalized City has emerged, grown, and evolved by operating through time, based on the primordial human nature and a need to build on the unambiguous and centuries old laws of adaptable infrastructure and changeable politics. Legalized City consists of municipality N, municipality R, municipality V, municipality V-1, and village Č, situated along the Adriatic coast and covering the area of a large peninsula, two large islands, and 88 islets. Legalized City is a universal condition visible to everyone; it accumulates this condition and assigns order and unprecedented meaning to the agglomeration. Legalized City knows no desire for the better and despises all desire to achieve an ideal. Legalized City embodies ordinariness brought to the level of hypertrophied quantitative hugeness. Ordinariness that has acquired its own body, ordinariness as a specific and new possibility. Legalized City fragments the segments and elements of which it is built, and parts of Legalized City are hostages to the whole. Hostages to the modus operandi, the spirit of deceipt and hypocrisy on which they have grown. Legalized City consists of segments that cannot exist without each other. Each of the villages or municipalities in Legalized City is part of an endless chain, network, and matrix. Legalized City is a generic matrix of genetic interdependence between all its elements and individuals. All parts of the city are work of the same creators: incestuous brothers and sisters caught in the uninterrupted circle dance of super-real everday life. One thing is certain: in Legalized City, everyone can design all the elements of his or her house, the interior, and the courtyard, as well as organize and supervise their construction. It is the complete freedom and democracy of possibilities. Everyone is his own architect and contractor. It is architecture that accepts all styles, all ideas and concepts. A pure and precise image of the genuine subconscious. The construction of Legalized City is the final act of liberation and self-assertion.
