Sažetak

The numerous questions posed in this paper are related to the main goal of educating and studying history of art and, even more, of practicing it. Therefore, the starting point finds, from the very beginning, the discrepancy between the Academia and “the street”, i.e., theory and practice. Or, better to say: between what we teach and what is studied at the Academia, and what the graduates are performing/practicing after or outside of the Academia. This applies mostly to the field of modern and contemporary art.
