Sažetak
This report outlines the methodology and process expertise in determining the causes of fire in road vehicles based on the authors’ experiences and cooperation with fire brigades. For vehicle fires, there are many factors to be considered to determine the cause of fire and its generation. It is necessary to note that a vehicle is an enclosed space containing many combustible materials and the fire may develop in two or three parts of cars, i.e. engine compartment, passenger compartment and the trunk.
The importance of determining the cause and manner of fire is extremely high, as this must be known in order to determine liability and/or compensation of damages.
