Sažetak
The article elaborates on the process of revitalization of SCADA applications in production engineering via facilities for storing,
grinding and processing of wheat built in the United Arab Emirates on behalf of Fujairah Grain Silos and Flour Mills Company. Due to technically outdated computer equipment and inability to purchase spare parts it was necessary to upgrade the SCADA applications with versions of Super–Flash V3.2 to V3.8 version that is customized to the Windows platform. The article describes the PLC Mitsubishi A2ASCPU and its networking with the entire system via MELSECNET protocols as well as communication between the PLC and SCADA applications. The conducted upgrade will allow the unimpeded development of plan management systems for next five years with minimal costs.
