Sažetak

The principles of a positive approach influenced many educational programs which had positive effects on students, but also on program managers. Research has shown that it is more likely to develop the characteristics of a positive person in a positive environment. This paper presents a theoretical overview of the positive approach, classroom atmosphere and the development of action research. The program of positive emotions is planned and implemented through the action research, due to the flexibility and ability to develop a program in progress. The purpose of this paper is to create an overview on how the action research has progressed, and to analyze the possibilities of the implementation of program of positive emotions to the educational institutions. This paper describes the progress of action research with all the features, activities, obtained materials and peer reviews in the form of self-reflection and reflection of critical friends. The survey was conducted in the 6th grade of elementary school “Donja Dubrava". The study included eighteen students alongside their class teacher. The results of this study open up a professional discourse to using positive approach, especially emotions, in improving of classroom atmosphere and personal development of students.
