Sažetak
The outbreak of gastroenteritis due to Salmonella enteritidis in foundry at Požega is presented 131 persons catched the disease. 39 hospitalised patients are closely observed. They are observed according to their sex, age, severity of the disease and the day of their disease they were hospitalised.Their haematological, biochemical and microbiological findings are analysed. The patients were predominantly younger men. They had medium or severe form of the disease. In all the patients Salmonella enteritidis was isolated from the stool. All the patients had favourable outcome.
