Sažetak
The possibility of using an Orion nitrogen oxide electrode for
nitrite determination in environmental samples has been investigated.
In samples with nitrite concentration below 0.2 mg/dm3
the electrode method is inferior to ·the classical Griess-Saltzman
method. However, at higher nitrite levels (above 0.5 mg/dm3) the
electrode method offers advantages because of its simplicity and
short determination times. Nitrite concentration determined ranged
from 0.020 mg/dms (in river water) up to several mg/dm~ (in
frankfurters).
