Sažetak
The paper presents a briefhistorical development ofthe social work in schools, it place within the system of education, research and interventions in the interaction hetween children and their school, and between family and local community. As an applied educational discipline, the school social work, together with its Services, significantly contributes to the satisfaction of children’s needs. The author presents the model of interdisciplinary expert school team, that enables the accomplishment of basic school functions in the community.
