Sažetak

Even today otitis media in children is considered to be a serious diagnostic and specially a therapeutic problem. In last 5 years 117 children, aged 3 months to 14 years were treated at our Department for acute, or chronic otitis. In 59.8% of cases surgery was our choice while in 40.2% drug treatment was applied. The relapse and rehospitalization were present in 17.2°/o of cases. The hearing of these patients was more or less permanently damaged.
