Sažetak

Obesity is one of the leading cause of many chronic non-communicable diseases (KVB), diabetes, osteoarthritis,
cancer. In 2008 57% of adults in Croatia had excessive TT, and 24% were obese. Forecasts
for Croatia in 2020 say that 35% of men and 42% of women will be overweight. LJZŽ from have program„
Mršavimo zdravo zajedno“. With an individualized approach to each individual, we track it over a
period of 12 weeks to maximize physical activity and change the way of thinking and life. We offer our
patients support on a weekly basis.
Smoking affects over 7 million lives annually and causes a number of KV, respiratory diseases and
lung cancer. Counseling and using nicotine supplements doubled the success of smoking cessation. In
Croatia, according to TQS results, published in 2015, it smokes 31.1% of the population. LJZŽ from
January 2014. They are implementing the “Stop smoking” project, providing support to smokers and
their families.
The aim of both projects is to increase awareness of the adverse consequences, affect the individual and
preventive action in primary health care.
