Archival Description of the Societies, Associations and Foundations Records with the Emphasis on the Preparation of the Summary Inventories

In the introduction the article deals with issues concerning developement of societies in Europe and Croatia at the crossing of the 19th and 20th century. Concerning the functions, namely the purpose of establishing, the text suggests the classification scheme for the fonds of societies, associations and foundations. The text gives an arrangement plan for records in the fonds of societies, associations and foundations that is at the same time the classification scheme for creation of the summary inventory supplied with examples. The preparation of summary inventory is elaborated in the context of the multi-level description and descriptive elements within. Corelation between description levels is emphasised as well as relation between particular description levels and various archival finding aid.
