Sažetak

This paper is devoted to the topic of emerging challenges of traditional criminal law, posed by the development of modern technology and robotics. In certain parts of the world, car-industry has already implemented the new generation of autonomous self-driving vehicles. Moreover, such vehicles already caused traffic accidents with death consequences. In this text, authors are arguing the issue of whether it is possible to apply traditional concepts of substantive criminal law on such situations. They analyze the scope and limits of criminal liability of autonomous robots, programmers and manufacturers. They describe German, Swiss, U.S. and Croatian law on this issue and conclude on the adequacy of the existing legislative models to the new challenges of modern living.
