Elements of Creativity Application in Educational Process

Sažetak

The purpose of this paper is attempt to identify and analyze the elements of the educational process that influence the application of creativity, as principle and method, in the process of education. Paper starts from the theoretical background, locating the analyzed elements on the continuum of the influence that moves from the end that contains the elements that prevent the application of creativity in education to the end with the elements that encourage the application of creativity in the education. The elements derived from the survey conducted with the first and third year undergraduate and the second year graduate students of pedagogy (N = 115) at the Faculty of sciences and education at the University of Mostar are analyzed. The central role of the teacher as the motivator and the main obstacle to the realization of creative education has been confirmed in this sample, and the analysis of the obtained results attempts to clarify the causes of the described situation, which shows that the prevailing opinion is that the institutional determinants of the school prevent the realization of creative education. The question arises as to the extent to which the results obtained reflect the real perceptions of respondents that have a strong influence on their theoretical-practical activity and to what extent the dominant perceptions of the pedagogical sciences students are exposed during their studies is reflected in the results. The final part refers to the tendencies of economisation and instrumentalisation of creative education, thus losing legitimacy and its critical-transformational basis. Lost basis is replaced by the peel of apology for the dominant pragmatist-neoliberal orientation in theoretical and practical consideration, analysis and implementation of educational theories, related pedagogical principles and the methods directed at the realization of creative education as principles and method.
