Sažetak

One of the specific characteristics of multimodal transport and traffic is that their operators, and the recipients of the commodities, are located in different states and that the traffic is performed with at least two different means of transportation, and at least two different branches of transport are involved in such a process. The operator of multimodal traffic, as the most important link in the organisational chain of such an enterprise, must be familiar with the numerous legal sources providing for the relations between legal subjects in any branch of traffic, i.e. with the legal rules that are important for the regulation of the relations among active participants in the communication systems at national and international levels. All legal sources of multimodal traffic can be divided into two main groups: primary and secondary sources of law of multimodal traffic. The subjects of the authors’ research activity are the primary sources of multimodal traffic, i.e. the multimodal legal sources of multimodal traffic.
