SEMINARY OF SENJ AND THE DIOCESE OF KRK

Sažetak
From 1806 till 1940 the seminary of Senj founded a home and
educated 80 sacerdotal candidates from the adjacent diocese of Krk.
This not small number of students and for the most part later priests
were mostly incardinated into the diocese of Krk. Due to the numerousness
of sacerdotes of Krk in those days many performed service
and were incardinated in other dioceses. In this work their personal
data are examined and could serve for completion of the personal
biography of some distinguished members, who played an important
role in the history of our region. Besides their spiritual contribution
in maintaining the Christian faith, many of them gave, as local teachers
and educators in elementary schools, immense contribution in
preserving the national consciousness of the inhabitants of the Kvarner
islands and throughout our country where they served.
