Sustainable entrepreneurship regarded through the sustainable development concept

Sažetak

Modern, mostly profit-oriented businesses should change their devastating effects and substitute their continued growth with one that is in line with sustainable development. The harmful effects of these types of businesses are evident in the environment and witnessed
by an increasing number of individuals. It is believed that institutions at a macro level, the market and enterprises at a micro-level have a key role in this process. The process of business transformation begins with a global market risk analysis, thus creating sustainable business models in conjunction with the concept of sustainable development. The so-called environmental crisis that surrounds us is triggered by the action of two systems. One is natural, unaffected by man, relying on nature and acting on its own, while the other is social and based on natural resources, influenced by the exploiting man. A large number of companies on the market have sparked a debate about their importance in implementing the concept of sustainable development, that is, sustainable business. For this reason, this paper aims to outline a theoretical framework of the impact of the concept of sustainable
development on the business operations of companies on the market and, consequently, the awareness of the concept created by the client/customer. The significance of the topic is evident in the presentation of the theoretical framework of a new business concept that most companies are either not ready to accept or do not yet understand its importance.
